ChLGA Handicap
All members must have a ChLGA Handicap Index to compete for the Low Net prize.
Establishment
The ChLGA Handicap is calculated from the average of the best 3 of the last 6 games played, across both the current season and the previous one.
For members who have played between 2 and 5 games, the Handicap Index is based on the best 50% of the games played.
New members
With an official RCGA handicap index — the RCGA index is used for her first game, and she is eligible to compete for all prizes.
Without an RCGA handicap index — she establishes her ChLGA handicap from the first 2 ChLGA games she plays. She is not eligible to compete for the individual Low Net prize until her ChLGA handicap is established.
The formula
(Adjusted gross score − course rating) × 113 × 0.96 ÷ slope rating
Adjust your gross score using Equitable Stroke Control before it is posted for handicap purposes.
Your current index
Handicap indexes are maintained by the Scoring Committee and published in the Members Section after each game.
